Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

This was an Animation of my childhood. My father gave it to me on VHS tape as a present on my 8th birthday (date can be confused). I enjoyed Pocahontas so much more than these other white Disney princesses. And of course I like Hayao Miyazaki, how he shows strong female characters. 

In reality boys are so often scared of strong women, they are afraid, when a girl can see all the crap that they have through a made up 'cool' personality. It takes time to learn how to appreciate truth and how to respond to gifts.

I deleted facebook to no to get distracted, but there are still enough things that distract me around, 'cause I am working on my project at school. I am trying to be "angrier" and give up talking to people all the time, but then I see someone who I know, and I just genuinely want to interact.

Yesterday I left school at 3am and worked on animation around 7 hours before that. I was satisfied, though I had just 1 sec done. It takes a lot of time to get into the working process, and it took me time to figure out what exactly I am animating on live action footage and how to import in into Flash. But from now on I'm gonna move faster and at least have 6-7 (8,9,10,11,12 - as much as I can have but without manic fixation) hours a day of effective work, and I'm not gonna draw each frame entirely: it's each second frame and without background, just some characters.

Thanks to Yellow Submarine animation, Lucy in the sky with Diamonds song by The Beatles, and Waking Life's creators for the biggest inspiration. I really enjoy what I am doing. Life is magical.

Я удалила фейсбук (и вконтакте, хоть я и посещаю временами), чтобы не отвлекаться, но вокруг достаточно отвлекающих моментов, потому что я работаю в школе (и конечно еще высыпаюсь, чтобы быть в форме), и я стараюсь быть "злее" и не говорить с людьми все время, но потом я всегда вижу кого-то, с кем хочется искренне скоммуницировать.

Вчера я ушла из школы в 3 ночи, удовлетворенная после 7 часов работы над анимацией, хотя сделала всего 1 секунду от общей работы (всего 32 секунды анимации). Много времени занимает включение в рабочий процесс, и еще у меня заняло время нахождение стиля в котором я буду анимировать мой фильм, и как импортировать материал фильма во Flash. С настоящего момента я собираюсь работать быстрее или хотя бы с достаточной регулярностью, чтобы быть готовой с этой частью кино - это начальные титры - на уже следующих выходных (13,14 июля). Я рисую на каждом втором кадре, и не весь кадр целиком, а только некоторых персонажей.

Спасибо Yellow Submarine анимации, песни The Beatles "Lucy in the sky with diamonds", и фильму "Пробуждение жизни" за самое большое вдохновение. Я действительно получаю удовольствие от того, чем занимаюсь. Жизнь волшебна.

So I need a location for shooting my Final Foundation movie. For 2-3 days in the end of June - First week of July.

My idea for location is a spacious room with almost no furniture or the furniture that could be moved away mostly. First to my mind came wooden floor or smth that looks like wood on the floor... And big windows - lighting will be crucial - I will try to use as much natural light as possible.

This room was too tiny, but I really took that picture for reference :)
And also windows will play conceptual role in showing what is the daytime outside.

My idea for a movie: it's a story about three dancers. Young woman tries to make a perfomance with two other guys. She forces them to do things and fails, and they leave her. So her task is an inner change, and movie should bring a feeling of hard breakthrough.

So far I have this place possible to rent out. This is VIVO gallery. If I volunteer long enough, they will let me use it.

The only concern - this place does not have hardwood-like floor.

So maybe it's not such a big of a deal? Maybe it will be good as it is, and VIVO at least has wooden benches. And a good thing - it will be not that easy to damage such floor, and I am not that sure about hardwood, for example.

If you have any place that could fit my needs, I will be glad to take a look. Preferably without any charge, but any variants will be considered. My plan is to look for some dance studios as well.

Film Photography

There are periods of my life, when I just make and make and make photographs. It's not that compulsive like it was before, still photographs have property to kind of settle on my computer and then on hard drive, just heading somewhere to eternity.

Film photography has always been very special to me. When I was 17, my first boyfriend gave me old russian camera Zenit as a birthday gift. It's an (electro)mechanical camera. It didn't have exposure meter, so I was exploring Zenit with the help of V.

When I was 15, my mother took me to Paris for a week. That time I was studying in high school and we chose a week in October to come there and spend time together. I had Canon EOS 300 with me, light film slr camera, which I used on auto mode. I used about 9 films there and was very surprised to find some really nice pictures after printing all of them. Quite soon I became obsessed with taking pictures. I was taking pictures of everything: small things, plants, myself, strangers and familiar people. I had stacks of photographs because I could only print the whole entire film to actually look through all the shots. I'm glad that one day I discovered that negatives can be scanned.
Before discovering film I had soap digital camera and even was playing around some editing programs, still it hadn't the thrill that film photography and even digital photography gave me.

In Van I was collecting rolls that I used, and during Christmas break I developed and scanned some. After I came back I started to use film Pentax again. I was putting rolls into special box until I got extremely ready or just sad and came to London Drugs with 2 of them. They developed and digitized them for $30, that is really extreme, though I don't regret at all.
